A comfortable win by Storms, Davis is unchallenged for second. Dorman struggles down the home stretch and is nipped at the tape by a fast closing Moran. Natalie Hickman takes the point rounding the first turn and then procedes lead the race at a pace she has never run before. The field quickly discentagrates into two packs with only Dorman, Storms, Davis, Mino Faukner and Moran staying with the race leader. Moran, perhaps a little fatigued by running the 1600 earlier, cracks first, followed by Mino Faukner and Storms, who pulled off the 1600/3200 double win the week before, loses contact in the sixth lap. Hickman, still nominally leading at the bell, is passed by Davis going into the penultimate turn. However Davis gives way to Dorman who opens up a big gap going down the backstretch. She widens her lead down the final straightaway to come away with a commanding win. Hickman closes in on but cannot catch Davis to finish third. Thanks to Hickman pace work, this was probably the fastest girls 3200 in the North Section ever as 5/6 top finishers run PRs and five ran under 11:30.
