COLLEGE MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY Butte men run fourth in Folsom The Roadrunners' Cesar Silva covered the four-mile American River Beaver Invitational at Granite Beach in Folsom in 22 minutes, 9 seconds, which was good enough for fifth place, as Butte finished fourth overall out of 11 teams. Manuel Ventura and Zachariah Schlichting both finished in the top 20 for Butte. Ventura placed 17th in 23:21, while Schlichting placed 19th in 23:24. Other finishers for Butte were Zack Dickens (37th place in 24:51) and Matt Gray (43rd, 25:17). COLLEGE WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY Bowers paces 'Runners Butte's Tanya Bowers finished fourth overall at the American River Beaver Invitational at Granite Beach in Folsom, running the 5K course in 20 minutes, 36 seconds. The Roadrunners' Cory Eden was 17th overall and crossed the line in 22:47, while Michelle Cohen was 23rd in 23:23 to help Butte to a fourth-place finish out of 11 teams. Sharon Tenorio took 30th place with a time of 24:13, and Olivia Baker placed 32nd after a time of 24:38. JC cross country Beaver Invitational -- Shasta College's Anna Lambdin finished eighth overall in the women's 5-kilometer race in 21 minutes, 18 seconds to pace the Knights.
