Knights run to top finishes The Shasta College Cross Country team competed Friday at the Inaugural Jim Middleton Cross Country Invitational in Cottonwood. The women’s team finished first in a 3-mile race for Shasta with 30 points, followed by Butte College with 35 points and Feather River College with 59. COLLEGE MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY Jim Middleton Cross Country Invitational The Butte men won behind a Roadrunner-laden top 10, led by Tom Dowdin in second place, Philip Graber in third and Caleb Rosales in fourth at West Valley High in Cottonwood. Joseph Carter was fifth, with Tony Perez (seventh), Fredy Carrillo (ninth) and Wyatt Roberts (10th) rounding out the Roadrunners' victory. Sabrina Johnston finished eighth, Rae Haley was 10th and Heather Earl came in 12th place in the four-team meet.
