Tanner Hickman ended up taking third place for the Vikings in the field of 31 at Hooker Oak Park after
completing the 3.05-mile course in 16 minutes, 1 second. Ray Helms was fifth for Pleasant Valley (2-2 Eastern
Athletic League) in 17:15 and Brian Santich bolstered the team by crossing six seconds behind in sixth.
The Enterprise boys spilt, beating Oroville 19-36 and losing to Pleasant Valley 28-29.
Eric Malain won the 3.1-mile race and set a course record in 15 minutes, 43 seconds. The Hornets'
Zach Kaylor was third (16:25), Jeff Kornowski was sixth (17:41) and Garrett Moore seventh (17:55).

Hannah Hodgkinson bulleted ahead of the field and through the 3.05-mile course at Hooker Oak Park in 18 minutes,
24 seconds to earn top individual honors and help lift the Vikings. Kimberly Fawns took sixth place among 27
runners after crossing in 19:57, while Emily Ogden (20:02) and Kelsey O'Sullivan (20:08) finished seventh and e
ighth, respectively, to round out top 10 finishes for Pleasant Valley (3-1 Eastern Athletic League).
The Enterprise girls split, downing Oroville 15-33, but losing to PV 26-28.
Amanda Barber posted a second-place finish for the Hornets in 18:34, while Malissa McCray's 19:47 was
good enough for third. Brianna Winstead was seventh (20:22), Jerri Spence eighth (20:42) and Michelle Medina
ninth (20:47).

Spartans cross country squad stuns Pleasant Valley hosts

The Red Bluff cross country team met Enterprise, Oroville and Pleasant Valley in Chico on Wednesday but the Spartans scored only against the Tigers and Vikings.
Varsity Boys
Red Bluff 15, Oroville 40
Red Bluff 27, Pleasant Valley 28
Red Bluff whipped Oroville and stunned Pleasant Valley by a single point, as three of the Spartans varsity finished in the top 10.
Nick Rebol took the silver title over 5,000 meters with a time of 15 minutes, 56 seconds, Stephen Ferguson was seventh (16:35) and Mat Collins was ninth (17:51).
Zack Waian and Steve Dodero finished back-to-back in 11th and 12th, respectively, as well for the Spartans to seal the team's victories.

The Lady Spartans varsity narrowly defeated Oroville but came up short of PV.
Erynn Rebol came in third place for Red Bluff in 18:43 and Anna Eicholtz was fourth at 19:46.
Courtney Jansen, Jessica Avelar and Nikki Maret rounded out the scoring for Red Bluff in 18th, 26th and 27th places, respectively.
