Red Bluff, Corning, and PV converge

In the varsity boys race, Corning's Fredy Carillo turned on the afterburner's and left the competition in the dust 
as he finished in first place with a time of 17:26.

"It was a very tiring race for sure, but it's a great course here at Red Bluff and I'm happy with my performance,
" Carillo said.

Corning's other top five runners included Jose Torres (18:46), Manuel Ibarra (18:52), Herminio Miranda (19:00), and
 Jorge Hernandez (19:48).

Red Bluff's boys varsity top five included Devin Shoop (19:31), who finished in ninth place overall, Garritt Sanders
 (20:44), Andrew Wood (21:09), Dylan Gorbet (22:03), and Joel Defrates (22:06).

In the girls varsity race, Red Bluff's Erin Eicholtz took a fourth place finish overall with a time of 23:37. Other 
top five Spartan runners included Alex Levindoskie (26:27), Kayla Ann Coghlan (26:44), Caitlin Stamm (29:06), and 
Briana Denmark (29:07).

Corning's Karen Torres was barely beat out by Eicholtz and finished fifth overall with a time of 23:40. Other top 
five Cardinal runners included Isabel Meraz (25:20), Viviana Ramirez (28:00), Carolina Carillo (28:22), and Maggie 
Ramirez (28:50).

The Cardinals run again Saturday at the Nevada Union Invite, while the Spartans battle the West Valley Eagles 
Wednesday at home.
