Nimai Buroz's 17-minute, 26-second finish in the 3.1-mile course in Palo Cedro earned him second place and 
propelled the Panthers (2-1) to victory in their dual meet with Foothill (1-1). Alexander Thomas (17:49) 
finished fifth for the Panthers.

PREP GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Chico 19, Foothill 36 

Kody Atkins and Amanda Costa both finished Palo Cedro's 3.1-mile course in 20 minutes, 38 seconds to go 1-2 
in the Panthers' dual meet victory over the Cougars (1-1). Lorena Reed (20:46) finished third for Chico (3-0).

Chico High School’s varsity boys and girls teams won their meets against Foothill on Wednesday.

For the boys, Foothill’s Tony Meredith took first with a time of 17 minutes, 17 seconds. Nimai Buros of Chico 
was second (17:26), Ryan Teasdale of Foothill was third (17:36) and Garret Cloney of Foothill was fourth (17:30).

The top three girls were from Chico: Kody Atkins (20:38), Amanda Costa (20:38) and Lorena Reed (20:46).
