Untimely death takes former section star
Former Modoc High School track star, Dawn Vance-Crumm, passed away December 23, 2015 at home in Chico. Vance-Crumm was a two-time qualifer to the state meet in the 800 (1981, 82). She still holds the school record (2:16.79) at Modoc, a time she ran at state her sophomore year in which she missed qualifying for the finals by .08. Not known if she competed in track during her time at Chico State.
